Well this is me again. I'm a final (gee, you are? I thought you have
a long time more, but final sounds good) year law student in a local
college. I face the day with enthusiasm and excitement, though I
operate from my home most of the times. I am always up to my neck with
tasks I have mapped out the days and weeks before, responsibilities, chores,
assignments and social engagements. I like interacting with people of all
likes and interests. I love music. Almost all kinds of music, be it pop,
R&B, hip-hop, Broadway, ballads, slow rock or classical, mainly Russian
Romantic and Mozart (but I don't know much about classical music though.
My dearie knows a lot more than me in that area). Not surprisingly I have
many favourite artistes. But I think the Beatles is the greatest band in
the universe and John Lennon is one of my major influences in life! The
other artistes whose work I love and adore are Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette,
Paula Abdul , Jewel, Color Me Badd, Cliff Richard, Bee Gees and so on.
But lately I dig some rock bands, mainly for their rock ballads ,one thing
though, I can't really stand loud music. Rock bands like Aerosmith, Mr.
Big, Def Leppard, Firehouse and Bon Jovi are simply brilliant in coming
out with infectious ballads. Some of my favourite songs are I Want To Hold
Your Hand, Sad Sad World, All I Ask Of You, Somewhere Out There, Kau
Ilhamku (a great Malay song) I Life My Life For You, Woman
, More Than Words (I have the utmost respect for Nuno!) and a host of oldies!
Gee...I guess I better stop now cause I can really go on and on about music
here. Oh by the way, I do like playing on the guitar. So I wasn't just
trying to impress anyone in the picture by holding a guitar. It's a Washburn.
But I must admit I'm still learning everything I can (I still can't even
tune my guitar properly!). But I love to play songs for my baby and somehow
she is always asking for more of my recordings so that she can listen to
them over and over throughout the day as soon as she gets out of bed in
the mornings. I love my darling baby, my sweetheart whom I want to share
my love and life with till the world stops revolving. And if you look carefully,
you can see lotsa craters on my face. I've always maintained in my stand
it's genetic. I got it from my parents. Well, that's all about me. (the
words in italic are her comments)
Now let me tell you something about my honey bee here. As you should
know by now , her name is Julie and she plays the piano . So far I only
heard her play once . Even that was over the phone because she is basically
a very shy girl. I can assure you she's great! I was mesmerized by her
rendition of All I Ask Of You (which also happens to be one of her favourite
songs). But I think I'll get the chance to see her play in person pretty
soon. Besides the The Beatles, she also goes for songs by Air Supply, Modern
Talking, Michael Jackson (whom she claims to be very pretty!) Sound Tracks
, Euro-pop, House music, all British Pop bands and boy bands (yucks!!!).
This picture was taken at my house recently. She's so adorable that she
looks even prettier in real life than in the pictures. I especially love
her nose and oval face. I can spend my life just looking at her. But she
won't allow me to do that as she claims she feels uneasy and ticklish
when I stare at her. I tell you, she's weird. She is really weird. But
in fact, I find all these pretty amusing and interesting. And you know
what? At one look it would appear that we actually don't have much in common.
She likes cats while I like dogs. She likes Prodigy and techno music while
I think Prodigy sucks (hehehe..sorry honey!) and listening to techno music
for even 1 minute will drive me nuts! Oh oh...she actually thinks Elvis
Presley and Brad Pitt are not good looking and very common! She also thinks
Jewel looks like a dinosaur because of her teeth!! Hehehe...can you believe
that? Worst of all is the fact that she hates John! I told you she's weird.
But we do share some mutual interests. The best example here is the fact
that we both LOVE the Beatles! But even that took me some time to convince
her I love the Fab 4 as well and not just John! Well, I'm not complaining
though. Why? I guess it's simply down to the fact that love transcends all.
Love can overcome any differences, problems or hurdles. And she gives me
lots of that! Love that is! And dear, you will always be my ching-ai-dek
and
jui-ai-dek
lau por !!
P/S : I think my hubby is testing my capabilities as a housewife, that
is why he had me over to cook for him and do some household
chores, on my very first visit even!! honey..?! grrrr..rrrrr....!!!
